PROMOTION SUNDAY - Promotion Sunday is TODAY during Discipleship Hour. This year we are doing things a bit different. The parents and children will be together to visit each class their child will be in. The incoming Second, Third, and Sixth graders will be getting their promotion Bibles from their teachers. Please note there will be no organized Sunday School classes today for any children in Preschool thru Fifth Grade. If you have any questions, please contact Jenn Wise.
First Friday Prayer - Due to the holiday, our “First Friday Prayer” meeting this month will be Thursday, Sept. 2nd at 7:00 p.m. in The Loft. Join us as we gather as a church for prayer and worship. This will be simple and laid back with the purpose of meeting with the Lord and praying for one another. Questions? Contact Pastor Bart at 773-4252.
PRAYER WALK - We will be having a Prayer Walk Sunday, September 12th, at Noon meeting downtown at the Plaza Depot. Everyone is welcome to join us for whatever time you can take to pray in advance of our Apple Festival Community Worship Service.
Opportunity to serve the City - On Wednesday, September 15th at 5:00 p.m. we need your help to set up for Apple Festival. Your help is also needed on Sunday, September 19th, at 6:00 p.m. to help tear down and clean up. Please let Pastor Tom know if you are available to lend a hand for one or both of these times.

The “Extra Grace Required” Small Group will begin a new Bible study on the book of Isaiah, starting Tuesday September 7th. If you would like to be apart of this 18 week study please contact Jack Tobias, 773-3720. The group meets at 7:00 p.m. at Ken Tener’s shop - 13818 N. State Road 19. Cost per book is $5. NOTE: There is a two week break before this next study begins.
New Group beginning soon! The first full week of September will mark the beginning of a new 11 week study that will focus on Basic Beliefs using the book, “Christian Beliefs: Twenty Basics Every Christian Should Know,” by Wayne Grudem. It will cover topics such as Angels and Demons, the Trinity, Christ’s return, Heaven, Creation, and many others. This group will meet either on Wednesday evenings (during the Flock) or Thursday evenings,

A Men’s Bible Study will begin Monday, September 20th at 7:00 p.m. in Room 101. The study will be based on the book, “Every Man’s Battle - Winning the War on Sexual Temptation.” Leading this group will be Bruce Wells. You can contact him at: brucewells2000@yahoo.com.
Missional Renaissance Leadership Community - If you would like to give above and beyond your tithe to assist with the costs of this opportunity for our congregation, you may mark your check/offering envelope with the designed given marked “Missional” or “MRLC”. To date we have $5,412 of our total goal! Thank the Lord! And thank you for giving to meet this need.
The Daily Bread devotional for the next quarter is now available on the tables at each entrance.
Pastor Tom will be out of the Office this week on vacation.
FISH FRY - Our next Fish Fry will be Saturday, September 18th, from 4:00 - 7:00 p.m. Plan NOW to participate. Please contact Amy Strang at 773-7548 to volunteer to help at the Fish Fry or to help with desserts. Proceeds will go to the Externally Focused Projects.
